Eureka Labs is an official team competing in the Global Learning XPRIZE. We are based in Kelowna, BC, Canada, and develop educational software for children in developing countries. Our goal is to bring educational equity to children around the globe by allowing them to teach themselves reading, writing, and numeracy.
For those interested in supporting our project, we are currently running a fundraising campaign, https://www.gofundme.com/teameurekalabs, and for those interested in full sponsorship more information can be found on our sponsorship page here.
An estimated 250 million children around the world cannot read, write, or do basic arithmetic. Many of these children are in developing countries without regular access to schools or teachers. The $15M Global Learning XPRIZE is a competition that challenges teams from around the world to develop open source software solutions that will facilitate an autonomous learning environment for children living in remote areas of the world. The winning technology will result in children achieving a predetermined level of proficiency in reading, writing and arithmetic.
